George Marples (1869-1939)

George Marples was a painter, etcher, writer on ornithology and principal of Huddersfield, Hull and Liverpool School of Art. He produced a highly accomplished body of etched works from the end of the First World War until the early 1930s. His etchings include some of the finest bird subjects to have been produced by any member of the British School.

Still Life of Apples & Grapes
Anne Charlotte Turnbull was an English flower and still life painter, born Charlotte Fayermann in about 1800 at lodden, Norfolk. In 1827 she married the musical composer Walter Turnbull but was widowed in 1840, later marrying the painter Valentine Bartholomew. She only exhibited occasionally and her paintings are quite scarce.

Garman Morris flourished during the first quarter of the 20th century. He travelled extensively around the coast of Britain, France, Holland and elsewhere and specialised in tranquil coastal views. He exhibited watercolours at Eland's Art Gallery in Exeter in 1906 and 1907.

Emily Mary Bibbens Warren exhibited between 1900-1939 including works at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and The Society of Women Artists. She was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) in 1931.
