A fascinating extensive view from Portsdown with Portchester Castle in the foreground and Portsmouth and Gosport beyond, with the fleet moored at Spithead. Note the flag flying on Fort Blockhouse in Gosport. First built in 1495 with 5 guns, the fort was rebuilt in 1708.
