Depicting, from left to right, part of Fort Blockhouse (later to become submarine base HMS Dolphin), HMS Mercury the submarine depot ship that was moored in Portsmouth Harbour between 1906 and 1913, the old Gosport market house built in 1811 and partly destroyed by bombs during WWII, the floating bridge (or chain ferry) beyond which is the famous yacht launching shed of Camper and Nicholsons, and finally Ratsey's sail loft on the far right
