Kenneth Arlington Yockney was born on 6th November 1881, the eldest son of Algenon Yockney RN and the grandson of Admiral Arlington. He was brought up at the family home in Ryde on the Isle of Wight and then studied at the Slade School in London. He died in 1965 at the age of 83.
