Naillod was a French painter, engraver and illustrator from a wealthy background in Lyon. He studied in Paris under Jules Lefevre. Between 1910 & 1915 Naillod produced fashion and advertising drawings and watercolours of elegant Parisians.
During World War One he was wounded twice and received the Croix de Guerre and the Military Medal. After the war he lived in Montmartre and regularly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1920 and in 1938 he left Paris to join his daughter Paulette in Lectoure (Gers), SW France.
