Thomas James Lloyd was a painter, principally of landscape but also of genre and marine subjects. Living in London and then at Walmer Beach and Yapton, Sussex. He exhibited from 1870 at the Royal Academy and elsewhere.
He is recognised as one of the finest painters of bucolic scenes from the Victorian era.
