A delicate and atmospheric watercolour possibly executed in 1888 when Wyllie sailed his yawl, Ladybird, from the Medway to the Netherlands accompanied by his wife Marian and eight year old son Harold as crew.
Zwijndrecht is a town in the western Netherlands. It is located in the province of South Holland at the southern tip of the island of Ijsselmonde and at the confluence of the rivers Oude Maas, Beneden-Merwede and Noord.
