We are a well established business of nearly 30 years standing, specialising in 18th, 19th and 20th Century watercolours, oils, etchings and engravings, together with selected antiquarian, rare and scarce books on several subjects. We have a particular interest in maritime subjects and are well known nationally as a leading specialist in the works of William Lionel Wyllie, R.A. (1851-1931) and his contemporaries. We exhibit his works regularly at our gallery and are often called upon to give valuations and advice to both private clients and museums. We are also leading specialists, of many years standing, in the works of Martin Snape (1852-1930) and his brother William Snape (1862-1904).

We constantly seek to purchase pictures, books and albums and will travel widely to view single items or collections with absolute discretion and without obligation.

Our restoration studio at the gallery will undertake high quality restoration of watercolours, etchings, oil paintings and engravings, together with a bespoke mounting and framing service using archival quality materials. Our many clients include private customers, local museums and institutions.
