London Bridge and Southwark Cathedral, c.1925
etching, signed in pencil

A very atmospheric view looking south along London Bridge, with Southwark Cathedral beyond. This particular London Bridge, which replaced the previous medieval structure, was built from granite and designed by John Rennie, opening in 1831. This bridge was eventually found to be sinking into the ground and was replaced by the existing London Bridge, which opened in 1973.
We only sell original etchings by Wyllie, each bearing his pencil signature to the lower margin. Framed in our studio using conservation materials.
