An atmospheric depiction of fishing boats, Clyde steamers and other vessels off Rothesay. Wyllie was particularly fond of the Western Isles and took a long cruise there in 1889 aboard the Glasgow built yacht 'Grey Mare' from which he often worked 'en plein air'.
